    just under 500 people, situated between the
    cities of Terrell and Kaufman, along North
    State Highway 34.

    Less than 25 miles from Dallas County,
    Oak Ridge is far enough from urban areas to
    afford quiet country living, but close enough

City Council Meetings

Regular City Council meetings are held on the 4th Monday of every month, except to
accommodate holidays.  All meetings are held at City Hall, located at 8450 N.
State Highway 34, in Oak Ridge, 75161.

The next City Council Meeting will be held on July 27nd at 7 PM.
A Town Hall will be held on July 14th at & PM.

City Hall is open on Wednesdays from 10 AM to 6:00 PM, or by appointment.

    The Kaufman County Office of Emergency Management has requested that cities
    file a Disaster Outline Summary to document damage done by recent storms and
    rainfall.  Information regarding fatalities, injuries, hospitalizations, homes isolated
    due to road closure, and residential & agricultural damage is sought.  If you
    sustained losses due to our recent weather events, please contact the City
    secretary at 972.551.0343.  The current deadline for filing reports is June 12th,
