Welcome to the City of Oak Ridge.  

    Oak Ridge was established 1969 as a quiet
    bedroom community situated along North
    State Highway 34 between the cities of
    Terrell and Kaufman. Oak Ridge currently
    has a population of approximately of 531
    people and still has the feeling of a small
    "bedroom community" while steadily
    growing.

City Council Meetings

Regular City Council meetings are held on the 4th Monday of every month, except to
accommodate holidays.  All meetings are held at City Hall, located at 8450 N.
State Highway 34, in Oak Ridge, 75161.

City Hall is open on Wednesdays from 10 AM to 6:00 PM, or by appointment.

    The Kaufman County Office of Emergency Management has requested that cities
    file a Disaster Outline Summary to document damage done by recent storms and
    rainfall.  Information regarding fatalities, injuries, hospitalizations, homes isolated
    due to road closure, and residential & agricultural damage is sought.  If you
    sustained losses due to our recent weather events, please contact the City
